As I kind of think he is more or less a normal guy when not in work mode, it seemed fitting. Reading about uptight, neurotic Arthur can be entertaining, but it's never been how I see him. :)
It made writing the karaoke scene easier, and also this way people can go online and watch it, not just imagine it. Though I don't think JGL was tipsy...
